There is not one documented case of a person overdosing on Marijuana. However, intoxication and cars certainly do not mix.

Your comparison doesn't really work because not nearly as many people use marijuana to the extent they do those other drugs.

That said, I agree with you that those other drugs are just as dangerous (if not morse so) than marijuana. It should be decriminalized.

You are getting a LOT of bad information here. No one have EVER died of a Marijuna overdose, many people die each year from alcohol poisoning, drug overdoes, etc.

Pot is not NEARLY as bad as cigirettes from a smoke inhalation point of view. People smoke 1,2, or 3 packs a day. Even the WORST potheads are unlikely to smoke more than a joint or two a day.

Don't listen to that "no one know how many people smoke pot" jive. MANY more people smoke pot than you might would think, and it is the least harmful of the things you mention.

I don't think anyone has ever died from only smoking marijuana. You are physically incapable of smoking enough marijuana for it to be lethally toxic to your body, you will pass out before you get anywhere near that amount.

If someone smoked marijuana and decide to do something stupid then its just like drinking and doing something stupid. In comparison to alcohol, nicotine and other prescription drugs marijuana, in my opinion and experience, is one the least harmful drugs in terms of effects on health. Caffeine is actually more detrimental to your body than marijuana is...

No one dies from smoking weed, or while driving after smoking weed, unless it's laced with something else. I think marijuana should be legalized and taxed so we can all be happy. I for one know first hand that there isn't anything wrong with it and you don't hear about it causing ANY diseases. Smoke on!

Why? People don't generally die of Marijuana per se.

Like alcohol, they die of what it makes you do while you're on it.

However, they routinely test for alcohol, they don't routinely test for MJ.

Of course alcohol can kill you in sufficient quantities (it can destroy your liver), but the vast vast majority of people who die due to alcohol don't die of the various flavors of alcohol poisoning, they die of trauma (e.g. hitting something in a car).

The same is true for MJ. Medically, the killers in MJ tend to be impurities or additives, but since the harm usually comes from its effect on your reflexes and judgement, not your physiology, they are statistically less important.

And of course the number of people who REGULARLY consume alcohol dwarfs the number of people who use MJ.

Over 100,000 people die every year as a result of tobacco related deaths. Marijuana is more harmful than tobacco.
