i think it depends on the situation.
if you kill three people all at once, then thats just a mass murder. but if you kill say..two people at two separate times..then you may qualify as a serial. but then, you have to stick to the same M.O. |

No limit. More then one. A lot of serial killers have a certain thing they look for in their victims but not all....like hair color, race, gender, clothes, height, and etc.
