Exactly the same as other officers.

Pay in the police is on a scale based on rank and time in that rank, and not on what role you are in.

The investigation into the events of the G20 protests are far from complete. Too much by far. But your accurate answer is right here in these responses. Note we have a pro violence apologist y/a user here who suddenly describes himself not only as UK cop but now UK "firearms" cop. The same user has been adamantly defending the violence against Mr. Tomlinson relentlessly since it became a topic on here. Some unbelievable posts !
The brainwash factor would be frightening if it weren't so hideously misplaced and transparent.
And these people are legally armed !
I believe britain is bringing upon itself some dreadful fate which doesn't even bear thinking about and at a blind and rapid pace. They've been led like ducklings into this situation and crazy mind set through the GW Bush administration and his puppy Blair's government.
It filters right down onto the cold sidewalks.
As someone posted earlier in simple words regarding the G20 fiasco and tragedy. This is no way to run a country.

Hence I would say these officers you ask about like many others are grossly overpaid.
