wait, i know what your thinking, im a phyco, but no, its for a book im writing, its about some guy in west virginia who kidnapped this girl and cuts her eyes out, like the saw movies, im at the part were he is caught and in trail, i want it to be Realistic, so i how much jail time would the guy get for cutting someones eyes out

You wouldn't get jail time. You'd get prison time.
Jail is usually a year or less and is reserved for misdemeanors and holding drunks until they're sober.
Prison is 1 yr +.
Cutting someone's eyes out is considered Mayhem, which is a felony.
You might want to look up the law in West Virginia because each state has different sentencing rules. |

About 25 - 30 years. Cutting someone's eyes out is a very serious case, and could be resolved in a life sentence. I'm gonna steer clear of you in a kitchen.. |

I would hope that someone who did something like that would get life in prison.
Someone like that should never again be out on the streets in a position to endanger anyone else. |
