UK get 20K start 22K after 2 years and 1K increase per year after that. Add 2K to each amount for London. |

In the UK.
Not nearly enough to attract good, honest, intelligent officers.
They also have ethnic quotas which allow really stupid people to join. |

I can tell you know if you are in a car chasing drivers for offences you can get more money than your president; I know people who has a fat note with his licence any problem they produce the documents in the spot ,if the cuppa is one of the
specials take the note and give you the documents back,if is
a decent one ask you [what this doing here] and you say [oh
thanks I din`t know was there I thought I have lost it]. |

It differs from state to state. Here in New Jersey, a starting police officer gets paid around $38,000 a year.
I heard NYC was having trouble recruiting for their police force because the starting pay was around $25,000. That's probably not a fun place to be a cop, especially if that's all you're getting paid. |

That is going to vary quite a bit.

I don't know, but you couldn't pay me enough. That's (in my mind) a job that would make me unhappy and jaded. |

I don't think any "particular" person can answer that because all cities and states use different pay scales. Sorry. |

Probably enough to buy their next 'taser' and murder another innocent American who wasn't sentanced to death in front of a jury or found guilty of any crime.
Yea, about that much
For every 10 good cops, there's 3 bad ones. Someone who has a chip on their shoulder and was bullied at School and wants to kick ***. (Usually resulting in injury/death).
The problem with being a cop is you'll work with people with no formal education, which means they lack the intelligence to understand what they are doing.
*This is why the Governement want them*.
Shoot, muder, attack, taser, strangle first - and think later.
Choose a better job like a Nurse, Ambulance Driver or an Aid worker out in Africa. The world has enough people being hurt and abused as it is.
If you really want to work for the police force, do something far more challenging and contribute to society better.

So many good jobs you can do that involve helping the public, that doesn't involve beating the crap out of people as you're ''allowed' to by law. |

Dont know exactly but it should be competetive. They should get more due to the type of work they do and challenges they face. |
