There was some bulding going on when I was at school so we were forced to play in the playground backing on to the road. Me and a couple of mates thought it would be a good idea to throw stones onto flatbed lorries as they drove past. We got caught and letters were sent home!
Since then I haven't done anything particularly bad and got caught for it! Haven't we all parked on double yellows for 2 minutes to run into a shop? I quite fancy getting arrested for something stupid - but nothing like murder. |

It is very hard to not be a law breaker in this nanny state that we increasingly living. We are all treated as if we are not to be trsted: that we are children who know no better, criminals, cheats... and now terrorists.
I had my knife taken from me the other day. I am a sculptor. It is a tool for my work, but because it locks open (what use would be to me if it didn't.. unless I wanted to cut myself everytime I used it) it is considered a weapon.
In the hands of someone who wants to attack someone, anything a weapon, even a pencil. Yet in the bag of someone who is not violent, an axe, a nail-gun or even a 10" knife is benign.
Soon to smoke anywhere will be a crime.
15 yrs ago when I lived in S.E Asia, British people laughed at the draconian laws they had in Singapore; drinking, smoking, chewing gum in the street etc... I give it 10 yrs before eating a chocolate bar in public will be a finable offence in Britain.
The world gets more ridiculous and beaurocratic and boring every moment. Does it get safer? Does it get easier? Does it get better?.
I think not.
I think that people should reclaim their right to be adults. if everyone broke these pointless petty laws, what would they do? It got the Poll Tax abolished? Civil action does have an effect, if British people can stop being so apathetic and easily pacified, they would be more empowered.
Start a revolution today.... Buy your vegetables in imperial measures not metric (did you know that's a crime? Why?). |

When I was in college my friends and I stole street signs with our names on them. The police caught us but let us go with a warning as long as we put the signs back on the ground where we had taken them. However, I cried and cried hysterically before he let us go because I was so scared that I would go to jail. So, I never broke the law again, since I don't have nerves of steel that can take a life of crime!! |

You said it. Everyone is naughty at some point, most just do not get caught for their naughtiness. On a scale of 10, i will say i have been naughty 4 times. However not all naughtiness constitute a criminal behavior or misdemeanor. |

i could never live with myself
as i'm the first person to complain if someone else breaks the law.
if i expect them to be law-abiding the least i can do is be innocent myself. |

I've been taken to court for assault by beating and common assault, and been arrested for assault and breach of peace about 6 times. Also got arrested for burglary but I was only 12 then. And I knocked my ex out with a bottle but he dropped the charges. I had my reasons for doing all the things I've done but I have grown up in the past few years. I wouldn't like to rate myself as It's really nothing to be proud of. |
