about 3 week ago, I parked my car in a 5 mins. loading zoon,and then I went to buy a drink in a dairy, when I came out, one of citycouncil tried to give me a parking fine, but I found out immediately.and explained to her, she told me, I was lucky and she won't give the parking fine to me, but 3 week later, I found I had $40 parking fine at that night. and I got a warning If i don't pay, My fine will go though the court. this is so unfair, because, the citycouncil's behavior and what she told to me at that time are totally different. even i don't know I got the fine. this is legal or illegal

It is a loading zone, not a parking space. These spaces are, as you can guess, for loading and unloading large trucks so they don't park on the main traffic lanes and block traffic movement.
City council give you a ticket and/or fine? Usually parking enforcement officers give out the tickets. Telling you a story to settle you down is not uncommon. It's legal as it can get. |
