How would you enforce Arizona's law WITHOUT using racial profiling?

There is no way to do that. The fact that they added "no racial profiling" to the bill is there just to make it look better. The common stereotype of an illegal immigrant is a Hispanic person, preferably Mexicans. Do any of you really think the Police aren't going to draw conclusions from that stereotype?

If a person is arrested for a crime, suspected of a crime or stopped for a traffic infraction, simply ask for proof of citizenship - regardless of color, ethnicity, height, weight, hair style, etc...etc....after all, in order to try and satisfy the moon bats in this country, air port security routinely hassles lilly white grandmothers along with young, Middle Eastern men.
Seriously, with an estimated 12-15 million illegal aliens in this country from south of the border, how can profiling not be an issue if any attempt is made to stem this problem?

Any time a police officer has contact with a civilian, they always ask for identification.
If the person has a valid driver's license and insurance and registration there should not be a problem.
But if that person does not have a driver's license or insurance or registration then I would want to know exactly who is in the car.
Speeding, and any other violation is probably cause to stop a vehicle, you don't have to see who is inside the car.
Any time a car is stopped the officer usually wants to see an i.d. on everyone in the car, to make sure there are no warrants on them.

You got me, OK, you win, lets just let all minorities walk , regardless of the crime they are involved in, because the possibility of racial profiling is way more important , than murder, rape, grand larceny or the transportation of illegal drugs***********************************â€¦

Separate police into small squads and spread them across Arizona, specifically near the border. Put some cops on every couple of blocks so that they can learn who lives there or commonly drives by. Therefore they will notice people who have never been seen in the area arrive and will be able to stop them, regardless of their ethnicity.

I will tell you how I feel about it. In my opinion, we should have the police stop every person and ask to see their ID. That will take care of the profiling problem. I especially want to see every state legislator and the governor of Arizona, thrown up against the wall, frisked, handcuffed and finger printed AND have their DNA sampled...so they know what it feels like. This way, if they find any illegal legislators, they can put them in jail as criminals.

If Arizona really wants to get real criminals, go ask the New York State Legislature if they can go to New York and arrest the Wall Street thieves and bank CEO's who just ripped America off for all our money. You'll find PLENTY of criminals there to arrest and you won't have to use racial profiling either.

The Arizona law is a law that turns Arizona into a police state. So much for liberty, freedom and justice in America. Meaningless terms in my opinon.
