I was caught trying to shoplift a $14 cd 4 years ago (I was 17 at the time) and I was given a fine by the LP guy. I had to send off $200 to a law firm for punitive payment. I was never arrested, finger printed, taken to court or anything like that. Is it on my record?

i looked at background ckech websites and they either dont have me listed or they do but it costs like $40 for the results.

You were a juvenile at the time of the incident. It sounds like your punishment was a fine.

If however you were never arrested there would be no crime thus no record.

was fined for theft under 50 and public intoxication I pleaded guilty but it was just we got out of a cab at three am and did not pay cabee $15 we were a group and everyone thought the other had paid. cabee did not reind us just went over to police who was right there and lthough we explained and said we would pay we were taken in. want to know if i will have permanent police record
