Hun, people are stupid.

I've had people say things like that too, and you know what, I bet its a very cruel and hurtful joke by someone that you know who has access to your chat links and knows remotely anything about you.

A few months back I was on AIM and some COMPLETELY random guy sent me an IM and said "I'm outside your house" and sent me a photo of my apartment complex as it was that moment. I freaked out (as is first response) and called the police. They came, searched the area, checked my computer and as it turns out it was a stupid ex boyfriend of mine trying to scare me via cell phone & AIM.

If you're worried, print out a transcript and call the police. The worst that can happen is that you're wrong. Even if it is a stupid joke or a cruel prank- its better safe than sorry.

:O Thats horrible! Maybe tomorrow you shouldnt spend the day at home, go out somewhere and make sure you always have at least 2 other people with you and if you dont have pepper spray (or something similar)...maybe you should get some!

More than likely, this guy doesnt know where you live. Chances are, its just some looser bullying you online because he cant bully people in real life. I would take his threats with a grain of salt. But just for safe measures, I would keep your doors locked.

You need to notify the police - regardless of whatever it was that you said in the chatroom. You need to tell your parents.

These are crazy days we live in, and I'm sure that you're parents will understand - and be thankful that you told them.

Don't worry about it. if he doesn't have your address, and very likely he does NOT, don't worry. He's just a troll trying to scare you. If he does show up call police.
Unless you gave out your address you have little to worry about. I can find the city almost anyone in chat lives in with your IP address.. doesn't mean squat though.. Flint's a big town so don't sweat it.

This is a very serious offense. Threatening thatâ€™s heâ€™s going to come to your house with a gun is a very serious threat and you need to act upon the threat immediately. Remember, this guy said he knows what city you leave near. DO NOT LET THIS GO. Call the cops! Call the police right now and file a report. You may even want to request that a cop sits outside your house tomorrow in an unmarked car and in plain clothes.

This is a â€œpersonal threatâ€ and you should not let it go.

He can be charged with several offenses:

First charge would be for harassment and threats. He knows where you live and is using that knowledge to make threats.

Second charge could be attempted murder. Why would he need a gun unless he planned to cause injury or death to someone?

The third charge could be attempted theft or kidnapping because he said that he is going to take something that belongs to you.

you would find that these people are only playing pranks and all sorts maye in the chat you gave out that u lived near flint and that is where they got the information

if not you should tell your parent/guardian and say you were just talking to your friends on a chat and tell them what this person has said.

You need to call the police right now and get this reported, and if you have any info on this guy give it to the police, Mutt do not wait till tomorrow...this is a threat,and the police will take it very serious..he may not know any of your info, but why take the chance, how did he know where you lived..did you post that on the site, or say where you live....

I would not take the chance, but like PP says, people are stupid, but not taking a threat serious, I would still call the police and see what they tell you.......good luck

Mutt, you must talk to an adult you trust as to what to do! Seems a bit late but never ever put personal info on a computer. Stay anonymous! Do not use your real name or address. A general location isn't bad but do not give any specifics.

tell your parents right away. let them see what this guy has written if youcan. make sure you have his sign inname etc. let your folks ahndle it. i'm sure they should call the cops.
