At 16 there isnt much as far as "jobs" that you can do. Without knowing where you live your local police may have a volunteer program called "explorers" that you could join, you would just need to contact them to find out if they offer anything of this nature. The number 1 thing you can do is keep your nose clean. The next few things would involve doing good in school, getting involved in the community, and otherwise just staying out of trouble. When i was 15,16, etc.. I would stay at the police department for hours in the dispatchers office and talk with the cops as they came and left. I would help them wash their cars, talk to them, learn about them etc. Of course 15 years ago things were alot different.. |

Ask your local police station if they offer any programs for exposing you to their line of work through a "Ride-Along" program or something similar. |

We hire many summer students that work in all departments in our service. There are students that help with the bicycle patrol dowtown, boat patrol on area lakes, as well as the property/records and IT department. Go to your local police service and ask if they hire summer students.
Keep your grades up, stay out of trouble and pick good friends. Good luck. |

No actual jobs, but you could join the local law enforcement explorer post. Contact your local PD and see how to join. |

Have you been on a ride-along? Call your local police station and set one up. When you're doing it you can ask them about getting further involved. |

Go to your local police station and tell them your intentions...and volunteer. They have a lot of public relations programs where you could be a great help. This activity is worth putting on a resume. Everything counts. |

Great, that you already know at such young age, what your passion is, and what you want to be one day!
Unfortunately, you have not given the State you live in. Your best bet, is that you call your local police station, and ask them, what youth programs they have available.
Stay focused. Have fun. |

I am against all of these things and don't think you should do them but these seem to be police requirements.
Buy a taser and Zap anyone who may dare to exercise his free speech. This will prepare you for colleges and ticketing duty.
Steal money. This will prepare you for BS parking and lame "speeding" tickets.
Lie a lot. Cops are well known for lying so this will be good practice.
Beat up kids younger than you. This will help you when you later abuse your authority.
Again, while all these things are highly immoral and I personal think you should NOT DO THEM it seems they are requirements for becoming an officer of the law. |

There are police explorer programs that you could look into. Other than that stay in school, study hard and stay in shape. Can not become a fat body! |

Lots of mature answers here. Way to go people, better get off the computer now and go run over someone dog for fun.
Obviously at 16, you cant hold any law enforcment responsibilites, but go to you local police department and see if they have any programs. Also, concentrate on your studies and get your college degree. |

You might be allowed to volunteer around the office. You might also be able to get involved with the Police Explorer program if it's available in your area. It's sponsored by the Boy Scouts of America and it's a pretty cool program for youths interested in law enforcement. Call your local department and ask about both. |

Secruity guards is the best way to do it. Helps if you want to get into police foundations
military if you want to go extreme |

Well for starters you can join cadets or something.. or get some training with the army in certain area's. That will get you somewhere. Or go down to your local police station and ask them to teach you a little bit and test your skills! |

Im not sure about jobs, but you should take a law class in school. Some schools have business law and other classes like that, which would help. |

Go and first meet with a police officer and talk about this exciting career. Go do some community service and help your community. That's what I did. I want to become a cop as well. I think it's a great thing to help your local police station. Keep intentions straight though.. |

depending on what state you are in, they have alot of cadet programs, that are funded state wide. Check into that. Also alot of places the sheriffs department has range over the county parks you could start working there, you'll get to know alot of people. Thats what I did. |

Try the "Explorers". I think they're boy scouts or something, but they ride along with the police sometimes. |
