You will probably end up in court. I got attacked in my home by my ex, who promptly shagged the "investigating" copper, lied like hell in court and got me screwed, because I pushed her back out of the door!! Amazing how much power you can buy with a loose pair of knickers! I was found guilty of ABH, despite her admitting she was a trespasser that had been asked to leave, and had absolutely nothing wrong with her! Even the copper admitted that. If you admit even swearing to a thug that is currently bashing your brains out with a baseball bat, the police will screw you to hit another target and the magistrates will shaft you. If you are really lucky, the thug might even attend your trial to tell them just what a nasty, disrespectful crime victim you are.

What crime victims really need to do is kill their offender, dispose of the bits and definitely keep your mouth shut. As the police don't like working for a living, they won't waste much time looking for the killer, unless there is an innocent passerby to frame up for it. Yes I am cynical and I would never trust a British Police officer again, my many experiences of their conduct is the reason.
