Well first...I hope that ladies son will be okay and I hope that the lady who was using your bank card didn't buy a car with it.
I did some digging and I found a complaint form for the Worcester Police Department. You need Adobe Acrobat Reader to view it.
http://www.ci.worcester.ma.us/wpd/forms/complaint.pdf
Fill that out and print it off. What they did (or didn't do) is a shame and should be reviewed. Police have a duty to serve and protect and neither of that took place in both of these situations.
Good luck. |

I would ask if an accident report or accident information exchange forms were ever completed.
You have to understand why the police "didn't do anything" which is because an accident is not a "criminal" matter but an issue handled by the insurance companies.
If there were any "criminal" events that occurred such as drunkenness then the officers would be able to do more.
I don't want to be misunderstood and it be thought I don't think this is a bad situation where a driver has been involved in two accidents within a weeks time...but this is a civil not criminal issue!
*** Again...I certainly understand your anger. OK...he was also speeding! The speeding is a violation! For an officer to issue a traffic summons he must witness the event himself.
An officer may make an arrest when he witnesses a violation, misdemeanor, or felony occurring in his presence. He cannot make an arrest if he did not witness a violation or misdemeanor. If he witnessed or has reason to believe a felony was committed...he can make an arrest for a felony offense even if he did not witness it!
If the violator was speeding, whomever witnesses the speeding offense can file a traffic complaint and have the driver arrested. The problem is...not many citizens want to go out of their way to make time for such complaints thinking the cops will eventually catch them. The problem is with our population growing and our economy declining...governments can't employ the number of sworn officers needed....anywhere!
In my job...I depend heavily on the community to be my eyes and ears. I listen to the public and respond as best that I can to their issues...provided another priority call isn't waiting first. |

yeah.
these days cops never do anything.
you and that woman(who's child was hit by a car)even showed the evidences but they didn't do anything and it is because they are lazy and don't won't their time for them to be wasted(by helping people)there is no need to call the cops when you are in need it would be better if you call the neighbors for help. |

well it sounds like the law enforcement in your area is either: understaffed to do anything effectively and has therefore chosen not to act,
has not had training in what to do in these situations,
does not have the facility (jail etc.) to do something effective,
or the law enforcement in your area is busy dealing with larger crime problems etc. and is preoccupied.
they may even be planning to take action in the future but have not been authorized to do so at this time.
you never know. |

The cops, definitely. If this worries you, you might want to head to a town meeting or something of the sort. Tell them your problems. Maybe they can straighten things out. |

I have to say that is interesting.. Cops around here would be itching to lock people up in that situation.. |

There is always two sides to every story. Was the kid on the sidewalk, in a cross walk or did he just dart out into the street in the middle of the block? There might be a very good reason why the cops did nothing.
Picture this, your driving down the street minding your own business when a kid darts out from between two parked cars, through no fault of your own you hit the kid even though you slammed on your brakes and did everything you could to stop. What would you be thinking while you were sitting in jail? |

you need to go to your local news chanel and tell them your story i'm sure they'll love it...and once you are on tv they will do something... |

Neither incident surprises me in the least bit.
Most police officers these days are only in business to bring in revenue for the community.
By arresting the individuals and locking them up in jail would have cost the tax payers money, which is frowned upon by city governments. |

Cops aren't there to help you. Not anymore. There used to be good cops in America, now they are an endangered species. |

Trust me, when it comes to the police doing nothing - I would believe just about anything you told me.
Maybe if the kid had been carrying a box of donuts. |

It is illegal for you to own, possess or raise a gazelle in America, unless variance is granted for zoological purposes. I strongly advise you to delete this question. |
|

Its playoff time!

That is very stupid. The cops really should do something about that though. Who knows what is going on with those cops in Worcester. Or for that matter, cops around the nation.
Good luck. |

That is absolutley ridiculous! I can't believe they wouldn't do anything! |

That's strange. I don't know about how your law works, but in canada, getting the cops after him wont get the woman anything, so sueing him is the better way to go anyways. Money is better than seeing him do time right? |
