I failed a piss test while on misdemeanor probation...?

I went to jail, and bonded out in the same day. I immediately got the SCRAM put back on, registered for out-patient treatment on my own, tested clean for a year before the failure, and since the failure occurred (which was at the end of February, 2009). Basically, I've done everything right (paid on time, etc....) for a year before this latest mishap. I even have the breathalyzer in my car as well. My question now is this: I go to court on May 22, 2009. What else can the judge can do to me? Or rather, (I'm in Brazoria County, Texas)...what will he likely do to me? I was told he might extend probation, and give me more hours of community service. Answers??

good luck with the community service, its brutal, but if you give the judge some favors ;) you might get out a little easier.

did your probation officer assign you this court date for the failed urine test? if so the judge will most likely go along with whatever the po says . however you do have the right to speak up for your self when the judge asks is there anything you'd like to say inform the judge of all you have done to better your self and sound convincing he or she may have sympathy on you and not extend your probation or even revoke it. |
