I got 4 tickets at the same time today?

1 big fine and maybe a license suspension for a couple of months

First, do you have any other citations in the last 6 mos. ? If you do are you currently on supervision or some type of probation for that citation? Supervision (probation) is a way to keep citations off your driving record.Usually a few months long, if you complete the court designated supervision term without another ticket, then the original tickets stay off your driving record. If you are on supervision alreadyfor other tickets, then the court won't give it again on these citations.
If these are your first tickets, or first in quite awhile, talk with the prosecution (attorney for the state) before court begins or at the break and just like "Law and Order" cut a deal! What you want to happen is to have one or two of the more petty citations dropped and get Supervision (probation) on the others. On top of that if you're not made of money, let the attorney for the state know that, and maybe he can suggest an alternative, such as a few hours of community service at the local hospital or such. Bottom line, don't be afraid of the state attorney, he has a huge case load and would be more than willing to deal with you. Remember, tickets are not a huge deal, but they are a pain that, if not dealt with properly, can cost money and damage your driving record. Also don't panic. You're not going to jail!! --hope this helps!!!!!

These are all misdemeanor tickets. The only serious violation is the Failure to Obey Stop Sign.

You will be fined. You will not go to jail. Replace your front lic. plate and tell the judge you have done that, he might dismiss that ticket or suspend the fine.

a 17 year old in my county decided he could beat the only other
other vehicle on the road at 3 AM - less than a month ago

he violated Newton's second law
two objects may not share the same space at the same time

the other vehicle was a Freightliner doing 65 mph

there were 5 others in the vehicle - another teenage girl passed away ,
along with him, one more critical in the hospital, 3 more scarred
for life

he would have gladly taken 4 traffic tickets

WAKE UP CALL!

You should not be on the road so I hope you get hammered in traffic court. No you cannot contest anything. If you lose control of your vehicle it's your fault. Regardless of the road and/or weather conditions. You're a danger not only to yourself but to others on the road. Next time take the bus!

You really shouldn't be driving - you don't seem to understand everything you studied in your state's driver's manual nor do you understand your state's 'rules of the road'!

Wow, I am amazed that you didn't have your car impounded on the spot. You are most likely going to have to pay a large fine, depending on where you reside, it could be several hundred dollars per charge.

You are also looking at a licence suspension. That would probably be the best thing that could happen to you until you learn or relearn the rules of the road.

I do not want to be on the road with someone who ignores stop signs.....no thanks.

Hope this is a big learning opportunity for you.
