I was charged with minor in possession of alcohol in car, driving without headlights on (bright fog lights were on though), expired license, expired insurance.
How much might I pay? Will I lose my ID for sure? Will I be on probation? Will there be jail time?
Please help me with answers!

You will loose your liscense for the possession of alcohol, I know if you plead guilty you get it back quicker which is really weirdd !! they will probably drop some of the not so important charges and end up just charging you with the minor possession of alcohol. I would get a an attourney or a lawyer to defend you! You will either have a fine, or jail time depending on what the judge decides, but if you are under 18 probably just a fine!! |

You will likely lose your license and I hope you do. You are far, far too irresponsible to be operating a motor vehicle. Your behavior demonstrates that you do not grasp the importance of respect for the law.
Whether you get detention/jail will depend on your previous record and other elements in this current mess.
Given the charges, you will likely be uninsurable and thus unable to drive for a long, long time.
By "best answer," do you mean you will give ten points to the person who tells you what you want to hear instead of the truth? |

MINOR IN POSSESION OF ALCOHOL ON CAR:
maximum penalty is a
fine of up to $250 and loss of license for up to 1 year.
DRIVING WITHOUT HEADLIGHTS ON:
The total fine and fees will be about $146. Traffic school may be an option, but it is generally not offered if you take the stand at trial and then lose. But, you can see about going to court and hoping the officer does not show.
EXSPIRED LICSENCE:
given a fine from the courts
EXPIRED INSURANCE:
given a fine from the courts
SO MOSTLY YOUR SCREWED. HOPE THIS HELPED AND I HOPE I GET THE 10 POINTS BECAUSE THIS TOOK FOREVER TO FIND. |

No, you will not go to jail. You will pay a hefty fine.
You will also loose your DL until 21 and more then likely you will be assigned an SR21 Insurance - at a higher premium.

They will suspend your license for driving with it expired and no insurance. You will have to go with high risk insurance and pay for it before you will get your license back and will probably cost you a couple thousand a year. I doubt there will be jail time. |

Bright side, NO jail time. No license for a while, really BIG fine and super high ins rates when you can drive again. |

the police officer should have told you all of that when you were charged... you'll probably get a really big ticket, like $1000. but you probably wont go to jail or have your license taken away. you could have your license suspended for a couple a months. but your vehicle insurance will definately go up. |

Get a lawyer, promise to drive with insurance, the headlights, and no more illegal alcohol. |

Well my question is... Why were you driving in a car with alcohol, without headlights, ab expired license, and expired insurance? I mean really? Could you not have not fixed any of that? I mean surely you could have gone to the license bureau sometime before your license expired? It doesn't take that long. You could have gotten rid of the alcohol before you went driving. And as for your headlights you should have bought new headlights. They aren't that expensive, and it doesn't take long. This is all stuff that you could have prevented. So i think that you should get a Pretty bad charge. And loose your ID (You technically didn't have it anyway). |

It depends if you pay it then you might not lose it but you are most likely to lose it. :) |

Bright fog lights are not a substitute for head lights.
Why were both your license and insurance expired? You'll get most likely probation. You'll also have to wait to get your license back for a while. You're looking at fines and suspension. Jail time is something you should not be worried about. |

It's quite possible sweetie, depends on the state and if its your first offense or not. |

Get a good attorney...and you'll most likely lose your license for a bit. No way to know what you'll pay, depends on what they charge you with. |

I know in California, if you even get a minor in possession of alcohol even if you are not in a car, you lose your license until you are 18.
Most likely you will lose your license if you are a minor. One thing that I don't understand is, how can you be a minor and your license have expired already?
If you got it at 16 it would have had to expire in 1 year?
I'm confused. |

most likely you will lose your licence =[ but what you should do is get a lawer and fight this case as hard as possibly tell the judge that you will do as much comunity service that you can that should do the trick good luck hope this helps =] |
