I got a fix-it ticket, got it signed off, but failed to show? My fix-it ticket was a burned out taillight and I got it fixed and signed off by a police officer before the court due date. But now, I just realized the court due date was due yesterday ( Saturday 3/28/09) and the courts only open during weekdays so next open is Monday ( 3/30/09). I think there's a possible suspension and a FTA ( Failure to Appear) fee. I'm in California..what should I expect and what advice do you have?

Simply call the courthouse (number should be on the ticket) and let them know you got a fix it ticket and already had it signed off but you missed your court date. I seriously doubt that they are going to suspend your license that quickly on a little fix it ticket. They just wont have it in the system that quickly.
Instead of just the $10 fee, they may now tack on additonal fees for being late but you might get lucky.
