If you do nothing your license will be suspended and a warrant will be issued for your arrest.

Pay the fine or fight it, but either way don't ignore it.

There will be a bench warrant against you and you could be put in jail. Just pay it.

I got one of those type of tickets recently, but in another state. Just plead guilty by mail & pay the fine by mail, they caught you "red-handed" by taking the photo of you. Oh, it was for speeding, not going thru a red light? Mine was for going thru a red light. Well, if you do nothing, they can take away your registration, suspend your license & put a warrant out for your arrest. Just pay it!

You heard incorrectly.

What will happen is the court will take action towards license suspension.

Instead of "doing nothing"...try appearing in court and asking to attend Drivers Improvement and possibly get the fines reduced or the entire offense dismissed.

Your best bet is to contact the courts and ask them these questions. They are the ones who will process your ticket and will know all the laws and regulation. You should also ask the courts if you are allowed to take a driving school class. This will prevent your insurance from going up and points from being placed on your license. Just make sure you get the courts permission before doing so. If you donâ€™t the courts will reject your driving school certificate. Good luck!

Couldn't you try to fight it in court, I had a friend who knew he was speeding but he could have lost his license because of his age and limitations on his license points are like doubled and I think you get half as many points till they suspend your license till you turn 18 or until your 6 month probationary period is over. He went there and the judge goes "I'm going to offer to everyone a plea deal because I don't have time to go through with everyone trying to argue there tickets in court and I hope you all take the deal if you don't you may loose and have the original ticket." So the judge offered my friend "disorderly conduct with a motor vehicle" its a lesser charge apparently. My friend didn't want to fight but he did have something from a mechanic or something stating his speedometer was checked just after the incident and it was calibrated off or something and had been recalibrated and fixed if he was going to plead not guilty, but he took the judges offer because he didn't want to fight.
