One ticket should not raise your insurance, there is usually a "freebie". |

I'm surprised you got a ticket for doing 45 in a 35!
Isn't there a way you can fight it, or do something? |

No. Your rates will go up. Why should you pay the same as someone with no tickets? No free passes in the real world! |

It probably won't raise your insurance. It was your first offense, and it wasn't considered reckless driving. Just pay your fine on time and relax. You really have nothing to worry about. |

In some states (like Florida) you can take a "drivers improvement course", and you can even do it online. It's about 4 hours (less on line) and your insurance rates cant go up, and points are removed from your licence. You should check into it, I am sure most states have it. |

Most insurance companies allow for one boo-boo, so to speak, so you should not see an increase in your rates. Just be careful not to get another one or have an accident, because they'll go through the roof then. |

That was 10 over the legal speed limit and it is spelled "i n s u r a n c e " , Insurance. Yes your insurance will go up and why do you deserve a freebie ?. If you had hit a road worker or pedestrian, well you wouldn't have any freedoms left so slow down and count your blessings. Being in a hurry in a motor vehicle can cause more problems than it is worth so next time learn a lesson and use common sense. "35" means "35" |

It depends on where you live. In my state, you can admit guilt, pay $150 and go to traffic school, and they dismiss the ticket and it goes off your record. No insurance company finds out about it, no rate increase. But it only works once over a long period of time, so a second ticket will kill your rate since the company will assume you've already taken your freebie.
Also, some insurance companies themselves offer 'accident forgiveness' or some other similar program. Yours might, but you would probably know it if it did. |

See if traffic school is available in your area. If not, you may be hit with an increase. It probably won't kick in until the next renewal, but they'll evenually find out.
Many insurance companies require you to fill out a form at renewal time and list any infractions as well as changes to your situation. If you lie on that form, your insurance may be cancelled. |

You can go to the court and ask for adjudicated probation, this means you pay the fine and stay out of trouble for 30-90 days and it doesnt go on your record...
Good luck |

Call your insurance company and ask. It depends on your company and where you live. I live in PA and I got a ticket for doing 65 in a 45 and all i got was a fine. No points or raises in insurance rates. |
