So what is it that you want done? He pulled you over, so? Did he shoot you? Did he strip search you? If he just pulled you over and checked your papers, that's his job.

At 3am someone going well below the speed limit is a clue to a drunk driver.

Judging from your previous question, I would suspect he pulled you over because you have a DUI on your record, and were out at 3am....

Law officers only have to suspect someone of wrongdoing to stop them. Considering the time you stated he may have thought you were under the influence of alcohol, because most bars close around 2am.

if he issued a ticket, the ticket would state what your violation is. there is nothing you can do unless you can prove that you were innocent of the violation that he pulled you over for. they wouldn't pull you over for no reason.

OK, did he give you a ticket? you didn't say that he did so i am assuming the answer is no. the fact that you were out a 3 am probably made him wonder what you were doing so early in the morning, most people who are out that late at night are coming home from bars and are usually up to no good. he was probably just checking

He doesn't need a reason. Well...technically he does, but ANYTHING can be a reason. He can say that it was 3 a.m. in the morning, and that's good enough. Or he thought you looked suspicious. Or you went over the center line. Or you were driving to slowly.

They have the right to check any vehicle at any time for a safety reason check or for many other reasons.

When you find out what you can do please post it here. He probably decided he had probable cause due to the time of day. If you were not charged just let it go. If you were then good luck in court.

I'm sure you must have gotten a citation,no?Go to court and tell them exactly what happen.Let people know friends,family co-workers put it on record,so you'll have something to fall back on should it happen again.

the problem is that he may have had a reason to be suspicious. for example: if a murderer was loose and happened to be driving a similar car to you, that would explain why he pulled you over.

typically, there are certain laws, which breaking is illegal, cops can still not pull people over for. for example: it is illegal for teens to talk on a handset cell phone while driving (here in Cali), but the offense is so low, that cops cannot pull a teen over on that offense alone. typically, cops cannot pull over people for no reason, or "just to check". if nothing happened, i couldnt make too much of it- i mean you were driving at 3 am! although henerson, nevada seems to be a large city in nevada, so i figure people driving at weird hours wouldnt be too unusual in such a large city.

it kind of seems too late for you to do anything- did you get a badge number or name or anything?
unless you got a ticket, it probley isnt worth your time to follow up on anything. then again, i guess i dont know the "whole" story.

Good luck though! i hate cops too. even when i know ive done nothing wrong and one is following me, i get FREAKed out.
