Take photos and bring them to court. It's tough to prove otherwise. |

Take photos of the spot and contest the ticket. The worst that will happen is that you lose some time and have to pay the ticket anyway. |

yes, but this could bite you on the backside, if the line is 70% visible its still valid and by saying in your appeal that the line was not clear and continuous you would be admitting you could see it |

definitely take pictures and make sure the pictures clearly show that that is where you were parked.
it might be tough to prove, but its worth a shot! |

Yep. Just present a half decent case, and show up, and you'll get off. |

firstly appeal and ask for a copy of the picture taking by the parking attendant the fine will not go up during your appeal your appeal will be looked at by an in dependant adjudicator and a very good number of them are upheld Try looking up parking ticket or parking these sites will tell you all you need to know and remember its not for you to show that there are any faults with the signing and lining but its the councils duty to show that the signing is legal In a lot of cases the yellow lines are not legal as they never have the two small lines at the end of them and that is a legal requirement The councils often try to scare the public into paying these tickets out of the public lack of knowledge I would think that on inspection of all road markings and signs most of those tickets would indeed be cancelled I can only feel sorry for all those parking attendants out there who don't even know who their fathers were if you get the drift dude!! |

Have a read of this:

If its not clear and continuous just cause a car wheel as gone over it. Then there's no chance. |

take some photos as evidence and send them off to your local council.
a little fact to spur you on: 3 in 4 parking tickets issued in london are overturned. shocking, isn't it? |

Yes you can appeal by writing to the local authority who issued it. |

Yes take them to court but hurry down to where the line was supposed to be and take a few pics of your own before they paint it in. Also the warden takes a pic or two tell them to consult their own pics but dont let them walk over you.
HOWEVER, I agree with snoopy if you were parked illegaly then just pay but if the line was broke then contest it... |

Did you know you weren't to park there? Be responsible. If you couldn't see it, simply state that you couldn't along with photo. |

Yes, because you just described the line that you got the ticket for, therefore you saw it when you parked. It doesn't have to stand out and shout at you, pay more attention. Sorry. |

There is nothing to appeal.
If you did not yet pay, contact the ticketing authority and find out how to contest it.
If you paid, in all likelihood you waived your right to an appeal (read the ticket.)
There's another issue here: were you parked illegally? You know the truth. If you were, just pay the ticket and take responsibility for yourself. |

You can appeal.... it'll be refused! After futily trying to contact an ombudsman, and him telling you to, "Pis s off!!!, it's on the the to the small claims court.... if you win in the Appeals Court!! By which time, u'd have taken time off work, paid costs... then fees!! PAY THE BILL!!! |

A yellow line has to be continuous and have a small line to denote the start and end of the parking restriction!
Any faults in the construction deem it unusable!
You can paint a black mark across a yellow line and get away with your ticket!
I have done it many times!
Just return a picture with your ticket showing the fault in its construction! |

I parked on worn out single yellow line and got a ticket outsde my own house, I took photos and appealed on line,Yellow lines were repainted over night and my appeal was turned down immediatley and the email read the warden had said the yellow lines were bright and bold at time of issue!! I then sent them my dated photos via email attachment to prove my case, How come they can lie to me and sneakily repaint lines to make me look the guilty party, isnt it against the law for them to do this im glad i took photos but what if i didnt??? |
