I have 8 violations for failing to pay highway tolls. How do i get out of paying for all of this (over $1000?

I didn't know illinois had an ipass system and over the past 6 months i've been driving through the i-pass lanes. Today I received a letter that I owe the state $1000 for toll violations. What will happen to me? I can't afford the $1000. I'd have to file bankruptcy or remove my kids from school to come up with the money. I have no other family to help with the $1000. What can I do?

well they will suspend your license until the fine is paid
there is signs all over the tollway saying ipass lanes only
maybe you can work something out just call the phone # on hte letter and ask
