I have a bunch of old misdemeanor warrants from 10 years ago in illinois?

They are dui related. My question is I live in California now and have been pulled over a few times and nothing has ever come up. I also have a valid drivers license. Would these misdemeanor warrants ever be escalated to being entered into the ncic or reported to the dmv so it would suspend my license. Would they even be able to prosecute this now? Should I address this or forget about it. I dont ever plan on going back to Illinois.

Highly unlikely that anything would happen now. If they were interested in you they would have made a ncic entry at the time the warrant was issued and issued an indefinite dl suspension until this matter was cleared up. You wouldnt have been able to get a license in California. I have seen other posts stating that misdemeanor warrants are entered into national databases and some are extradited but I have never seen this.

Misdemeanors are un-extraditable offenses, but in most states they remain active for a long time and if you ever return to that state and are stopped for traffic offenses they usually run a wants and warrants inquirery so you will end up in jail.
