I have a subpoena to appear in court in CA, but I am in AZ, is it legal for them to fly me to CA and arrest me?

I believe I have a warrant and I am being subpoenaed to appear in court for a case where I was almost raped by a man 2 years ago. The DA is offering to fly me out and pay for my flight and hotel, and say I will be done by the afternoon and able to go home. Are they allowed to set me up for arrest like this? I KNOW I SHOULD DEAL WITH IT but i am pregnant and I do not want to go through court right now. Thank you!

Since you brought the complaint against the individual in question and the state has prosecuted this person than yes you are integral to the case without your testimony they may have to let the man who raped you out of jail or set him free to rape other women.they want to make sure that he doesn't rape other woman like yourself.If you have a daughter would you want this man walking around free to rape her when she gets old enough,who knows these days what IS old enough.If this man was bad enough for you to press charges and have him arrested for rape then he needs to pay for it and you need to go and make sure he never does this to another woman
Besides the State has paid alot of money to prosecute him and they want him in jail too.If he is guilty of raping you and after all of the money the taxpayers have paid to prosecute him the least you could do is show up to finish the job so he can't do it again,who knows it could be a fun time staying in a nice hotel with free food and stuff
Stop worrying about how difficult it will be and remember what it will be like for his next victim,stop it before it happens to some other nice girl.You owe it to other woman to stop this guy.It isn't about you anymore it's about his next victim don't let that happen.If you don't go and finish the job you will question that decision for the rest of your life,you will probably wonder where he is,is he watching you or someone you know if he is in jail this will end and you will not need to worry if he is hurting other women.It won't be as hard as you think,these cases are normally very quickly tried it will be over before you know it.I bet they set you up pretty good to.Try not to let them down too they want his butt in jail if he did this to you so give him what he deserves.Good luck.

If you did not take this deal, you will be worse off. A warrant will be issued in AZ and you will be picked up there, arrested, lodged in an Arizona jail until CA comes and gets you.

I would rather take this deal, then have it be a surprise when you get picked up.

The DA might not even know that there is warrant for your arrest.....Don't go and let this rapiest walk...Let me ask you this how are you going to feel if he doesn't go to prison and he rapes someone else?
