I have herd the police dept gives a poly graph test? Becoming a police officer?

I want to become a police officer
I have been told my juvenile record does NOT matter in the job proses so WHAT do I do? Would I say no or yes on certain questions? The juvenile record does not matter and I have not been in trouble while I was a adult?I mean I dont want to lie.

just be honest, they can check all of that stuff. and you will be fine, unless there is a spelling test.

Your best option is to be as honest as possible. Some departments do a polygraph examination or others do a Voice Stress Analysis (VSA) its basically the same thing except I've heard the VSA is a bit harder to fool. But other than that, just make sure that you are honest with them and you remain calm. Its best that you are honest because if you are not honest, they will find out and you might not get hired..AND, if you apply at other departments, they will know that you were dishonest in your previous examination. Overall, its best to be honest. I wish you the best of luck.

Infamous
It doesn't matter if your juvenile record is sealed/disclosed, the point of a Police interview if honesty and truth. If you say no, and they contact a family member (which, they all do,) and they say "Well, when he/she was younger they had a problem with some people and the cops came" then you're screwed, because you lied, and then good luck getting a job in Law Enforcement after that, because if you got this far, no matter where you apply, it's on your application, and if it's not, they'll find out because it'll be on record, and you'll be rejected AGAIN for lieing.

Be honest, even if the record isn't there - They'll find out one way or another, then what?
