No. The detective could have been bluffing or they are still gathering evidence. Maybe they want to have everything ready to go before they make an arrest.

AJ is right, they also might be bluffing in order to see if he admits.. in which case they don't even need to go through with the print to have him arrested. It's just an extra step at that point.

i have a problem almost similar but with drugs, well my brother in law was caught as a minor drug seller i was living in his house but then they focus at me when ihave nothing to do with it, i dont even hangout with my brother in law, they start to follow me i found that one time when i was going to a massage place and to find out if really were followme i go back and cross the street to th other side and go around to a building there and watch them and yes they where following me so i cross the street again and then make a u turn and thats were all started i dont smoke, dont drink, i dont even like coke cola or eat pork, i dont even have friends just the friends of my job and sometimes like to go to the park to read a little bit but they put people to follow me an they start to said he is waiting somebody, and looking at me well in my job pay me with cash about $500 dlls a week they pay me in 20's 10's and 5's one time they look at me buying pc paying 1000 dlls in cash, they thought i get that cash selling drugs, one time i said in front of one of them how i wish to have a stone to hit him in the mouth for defamation belive me this people dont like it, then i said speaking out loud because i new they where near looking at me said, bunch of dump stupids dont see that i have job,,,from there my life change to hell then they start threatened me they try to make me look pretty bad in the eyes of people if i go to bestbuy, sears,or any other store they spread a rumor that im a thif, if i go to restauran they said i spit in food, well they are trying to involve me in their sh***t because they put people to provoque me saying thats him, pointing me, and me like this "?" ,but one time i said how dare this crazy people stupid pointing me when dint even know me. they jump start looking at me with despite they dont like to be offended, but they can offend you at any time scaring you, they dont have the right to hurt or brake the peace of others no way,,,because is a coward act, when people is bad people people its bad by it self, they dont need to lie like saying that they have something to proof against you, its not right, that calls psycological threatened because somebody tell me that too, and tell me that i can go against them for libel or defamation trying to get advantage of their power,,,,
