Air rifle should be okay because you dont need a license to own one. they are also the most powerful a crossbow needs a license though. somehow...

Will it depends what state you are in. If you are in a city than the police have made all air rifles, pellet guns, and crossbows illegal to have unless you have a firearms id card which a felon cannot purchase anyway. But on the other side if you live in a more rural area you can own one and I don't think anyone will bother you as long as you don't attack someone with it then you would be charged with assault with a deadly weapon. |

Most areas state that a felon cannot possess firearms which DOES NOT include air powered guns, stun guns, bows or cross bows. However in some jurisdictions any thing that can project a projectile at high speeds (say 600 fps) can be classified as a firearm. In that case, if the law says a felon can't own one then so be it. A violent felon has lost his/her right to possess firearms. |
