In Canada you can be arrested unde the Mental Health Act and taken to the hospital where they can keep you up to 72 hours at which time you have to be re-evaluated. |

Yes you can be Form 1 'ed for being a danger to yourself or others. (kept in the mental health ward of a hospital and detained with locking door if necessary). |
