As long as he is more sober than you are i dont see a problem.your questions are killing me lol

u need to get ur son one of those fake mustaches, that will make him look older so no one will pull him over. u might have to get him a phone book to sit on if he is short yet. but if u do this i think u'll be ok

I don't know if you'll get in trouble or not, but it IS the responsible thing to do.

Dr. Souldogs
He's old enough that you should start planning for his future; the sooner he gets to Juvie Hall, the better he's likely to do there, so don't worry! And they'll wipe his record at 18.

he can but me i can baby,, maybe this weekend i have a hog calling contest in maybarry ohio and like to take you ..what you say cal me

As long as you are in the backseat with one of his classmates, he should be ok..............

Of course he can get in trouble. Unless of course you are riding on the handlebars of his bike.................

In case of an accident or he gets stopped, he cannot get his license until age 18 or 21. He would be an uninsured/unlicensed driver. You go to jail for allowing him to drive an uninsured vehicle and allowing an unlicensed driver to operate a vehicle. Even if he had a permit, you are not licensed so he couldn't drive with only you in the car.

No you will. i hope social services read this.

If your 13 yr old has a real driving license, that doesn't require adult supervision, but that would allow him to drive alone, then that would work.

Otherwise, you are likely to get him into trouble where he loses his driving privleges. Check your state requirements to be certain.

Lincoln6
Yes. You are asking for trouble and will probably find it.

KatGotHerTongue
Only in Tenessee or West by God Virginia.... you can operate a motor vehicle so long as you have your mother/sister mother/aunt father/unlce or whatever direct relative with you...so I dont know where U live, but I would use the defense that you are from one of those state,,,,,,,but if your son is a better driver than u are, chances are he will not get caught hauling your butt to bingo or the bar,,,,,,,,,

no freakin der lady, get a life you... country bumbkin

If your son gets in an accident and causes damage you will be sued for everything you own now and everything you will own in the future. He is a minor.

CGIV76
Since you're not a licensed driver, your vehicle is not insured, and you could be cited for allowing an unlicensed person to drive.

MSAD
Yep.

He does not have a drivers license either.

Since he is 13, you would still be responsible for anything that happened.

Well, you would certainly get into trouble and I think your son could as well. Juveniles are not immune from criminal prosecution. Your son would be driving without a license. His defense would be that his mother made him do it.

Don't you think it is sad when a juvenile has been forced by an adult to do something that is not in his/her best interest. It's victimizing.

yes and so can you for letting him.

the_t_meister_rk
Absolutely, since it is illegal (not to mention dangerous) for a 13-year-old to drive a car. He could be adjudicated dependent and/or incorrigible, and placed in a juvenile facility.

When the police find out that you let him drive because you lost your license, you will not only be arrested as the responsible party, they will refer the case to social services since you placed your son in danger and contributed to him breaking the law. You could very easily lose custody of your son over this issue.

Um, YES!!!!
Take the bus.

It is very selfish of you having your 13 year old drive you around knowing he can get in trouble. Your driving privileges are revoked why would you risk your sons license being taken before he receives one.

Yes, in most states a child has to be 14 years old to get a hardship permit.

If he is the only way you can get around, you may be able to apply for a special permit to let him get his license early. You'd need to talk to someone with authority at the DMV. If he just drives you around underage, you both could get in trouble.

Emissary
Only if you are very cautious and adhere to the rules of the road. Personally I would not recommend it because if you are stopped by law enforcement you could get the car impounded for allowing someone underage and without a license to drive the car as well as more fines because you have no license.
