I would definitely suggest a new, unlisted phone number, blocked from caller ID...

If you are afraid at home, getting a medium-sized to large dog is not a bad idea. Most people who break into homes prefer to AVOID homes with dogs. Dogs are VERY loyal, and will defend you fiercely!

Try to record all your calls to get everything he says on record. Maybe the police will be able to make use of that. Can you think of anyone you know who might be doing this? It would seem odd that a total stranger would repeatedly do this.

I'm sorry I don't have much to suggest, but hope the calls stop.

Talk to your local office of your telephone company (both long and short distance calls) and ask them what it could be done about your problem. Also, you could install an answering machine to screen and to record any and all calls and do not answer the call until you see who is calling.

Your best beat if you want to help prove your case os to record some of the calls and try to have the police trace them some more. If you dont want to do that, I would receommend, changing your number and have it unlisted in the phone book for a while. Then limit who can have your number and if this continues you can maybe find out where they got your number. If you dont want to change your number get caller ID and if you do not recognize the number dont, answer it.

I would look into changing your phone number, and blocking that number. Also, I would harp on the police until they do something, dont let them just push you aside. I would also be extremely careful when doing you daily life stuff. Just keep your eyes open and be watchful of everything around you.

People wouldn't buy a phone card or use their poser-mobile minutes just to fool around.

Have you recently broke up, or stopped seeing someone? Did your testimony or evidence send anyone to prison years ago? These types of things are NEVER random.

i would not let some one who just happens to know my phone number scare me.
i would act strong and let him know i am not scared.
and in the same time try to figure out who either by a trace or by asking them to trace the card buyer, plus i don't think that they will bust them self's trying to solve your problem unless you get them to do that so persistence might urge them a little.

Ask one or two private investigators if they have a way og tracing phone cards, and if they can, ask for a price range.
