See if it's for you. Assuming you are of age, live in the USA, can lawfully own a gun, which every law abiding citizen should own anyway, then go to a shooting range and start shooting some rounds with a .38 pistol or a .380 caliber semi-auto pistol. If you can handle those fairly well, and you want to go on up in caliber, you are a good candidate to be a lady police officer. You must NOT be afraid of guns and rifles. You need to practice religiously. Times are dangerous.
If you are in Britain (mate), I'd get practicing with whatever it is you are allowed to use. Since only outlaws have guns, and subjects can't (in gun free countries), a good sling shot and a few rocks in the front pocket may be able to do the job. |
