I shoplifted an item worth 30 dollers from a local target. i made it out the door and home?should i be worried

i shoplifted an item from target, made it out the door and home, i even bought 40 dollers of other ****, and went back to the store afterwards to see if maybe i could just put the item back, it wasnt gunna happen because an employee was already at the isle doing some work. the item i took was already out of the package before i got there and on the rack. when i went back i picked up the empty package and asked the employee if there were anymore? she scanned it and said no, and put the empty package in her cart, after giving me some wierd looks. should i be worried of something legal happening even if i wasnt caught at the scene???? any help i would appreciate greatly

Wow, it is true, criminals are dumb enough to return to the scene of the crime. I never really understood that before but you apparently are proof positive that the desire to return completely overwhelms your ability to realize logically that you shouldn't return unless you are just subconsciously wanting to get caught.

No. But did you know your IP address can be traced to your home address and if someone in Target wanted to make a name for them selves they could track you down. But for 30 bucks, I doubt it. So sleep tight.

I wouldn't say it is all good. I would say you are a dum *ss. Stores have video cameras you know!! I would be sweating bullets If I was you and if your not I hope somebody scared your butt straight.

Holy crap, you need to calm down. You are totally free of having any problems with the law. The only issue is your conscience which seems to be making you do totally illogical things like return to the scene of your crime. Regardless of how guilty you feel, no one is going to care of yu are caught. Just leave it be and don't do it again especially if it freaks you out that bad!

I think you have something to worry about. First of all, there are cameras in Target stores, so there could be a delay in charging you. Second, you went back? That put some suspicion in that salesperson. Also, you feel guilty about it so maybe it wasn't a good idea for you to do it in the first place? Or maybe you will be tempted to do it again if you don't get caught. I would not steal again, and if you were an even bigger person, you could return the item and take what consequences come your way.

Yes you should worry. Not only are you a thief, and that alone is enough to worry about, but you're a dumb thief. Target does have video surveillance. Stop stealing.
