Well i was drunk and ended up asking some lady i i can use her phone. She was outside a store and as soon as she went inside I ran of with it. I feel like a sc-mbag, however, i dont know if she contacted the cops on me or not, in that case I dont wanna go to jail. What should i do?

You were "man enough" to steal from the lady....now be MAN enough to make it right.
You feel like a scu-mbag because you are a sc-mbag. And you will remain one, until you do the right thing.....man up....and return the phone to the lady.
You could probably call her (most people have their home number stored in the phone). Tell her you realized that you walked off with her phone the night before and would like to mail it back to her. Ask for an address where you can return the phone. Then return it.
Odds are, that if she gets her phone back....she won't pursue it further. But if she does....man up...do the right thing. |

Give it back. If you can't find the name of the owner the phone company that has the service can find the name, so give it to them. |

just like previous answer, throw it out the car window and forget about it. Trying to give it back only makes you feel better and definitely gives evidence of petit theft. Don't put yourself in a situation of trying to do the right thing and wind up with an arrest and mm probation for petit theft. Phones are cheap, usually free, and I am sure the owner isn't even going to go through the motions of mentioning it to local law enforcement. Lesson learned. |
