I know that i will need a bachelors degree and at least three 3yrs of work experience. I am going to become a police officer then and get a bachelors in criminal justice. I figure to make myself more appealing for the FBI I should get another bachelors degree. What would be an appealing degree for the FBI?. I know the FBI needs people tha can speak foreing languages and accountants. The problem is I dont like foreign languages, and I took 2 semesters of accounting and completely hated it ( was an an accounting major but changes that fast). I got a suggestion from my teacher for forensic accounting but im not sure if I would like it. Could someone give me a suggestion?

You can get a degree in computer engineering. It think that either a degree in computer engineering or in IT development would be your best bet. Try obtaining a position on the police force while you are still in school. I suggest this because if you wait until you graduate, then work for your local police force for 3 years, you will lose a lot of what you learned at school before you start your new position.
Forensic accounting is also a strong degree because a lot of FBI work has to do with fraud. But if you didn't like the first two accounting courses, you will hate forensic accounting.
I would suggest staying away from criminal justice, the degree is an add on degree, its most useful when trying to get another degree such as a law degree. I don't think it would help you much with getting into the FBI.
Also, try to get an internship at a defense company, if there are any in your area. Maybe there is an arm of one of the large companies like Lockheed Martin, etc. |

you should go to the fbi's website and look at the careers. then you can make an educated decision on which path to follow. it's hard to get into the fbi. you'll want to keep a very clean record and don't stop learning. |

Usually the FBI wants accounting, IT or law (that's a graduate degree). Forget the Criminal justice degree, it's a waste. The FBI background check is intense and takes a very, very long time. Get ready for your 2d grade teacher to be interviewed. If you have anything - ANYTHING - to hide, don't apply. |
