I live in Missouri. I know I can't possess a firearm, but am wondering if there is anything my wife and I can have in the house merely for self-defense purposes.

Pepper Spray is legal to possess (as is a TASER, to the best of my knowledge).

Sorry - I don't know about Missouri....

CA law (PC 12403.7a) states thatit's illegal for a convicted felon to be in possession of tear gas or the equivalent.
