Swat teams or Tactical Operations Unit are found in local law enforcement agencies for the most part. The good one's train weekly. The FBI also has so called SWAT teams but they are inferior to local law enforcement teams.
My observation of the FBI SWAT teams is they lack of training, perform poorly and cause death to their own agents all to often because of their lack of readiness. More than once an FBI agent enters the front door and kills another coming in from the back door.
What makes the FBI great in the eyes of a lot of people is the fact they have national laboratorys, national fingerprint files and specialists in many areas thanks to the big bucks congress throws at them.
Basically the FBI is not much without the help of local law enforcement. |

FBI is the guys/women who are out there in there lil suits, pull some undercover stuff once in a while, handle fed investigations..
SWAT is the guys/women who come to put a bullet in the dome of a hostage taker, etc.. when ever specially trained guys are needed in any situation they see fit, they call swat.. |

FBI, is like saying "Police Department" as SWAT, is a part of a Police Department that only activates when a special situation arises requireing special tactics and/or weapons. |

Your gonna try to compare a team like HRT to those fools on Dallas Swat or some such??
I agree there are a handful of teams around the country that are well funded, well trained, extremely motivated and **** hot, and it shows but come on HRT is right up there with them. |
