I am asking, to know how to properly transport the weapon to another private home. Having it in a lock box in a locked trunk indicates I am only tranpsporting it with no intent to use it should I have a traffic stop, right? Thanks in advance (answers with unrelated information will be reported)

Locked, in a in accessible place (trunk) and unloaded you can transport a handgun in any state in the Union.
You also need to be a person who can legally posses a handgun, so not under 18, not addicted to illicit drugs, not certified nuts etc.

Yes, it needs to be locked. You also need to transport it unloaded, and with no ammunition in the car.
(technically, the ammo and gun have to be SEPARATED in the car. But, if you have none, then there is no question you're only transporting it with no intention of using it.) |

no one on here knows what there talking about if its in your trunk or in a box its concealed no matter if its loaded or not.the only way you can legaly transport it is (in plan view).that mean if you are pulled over it can be cleary seen.the dash or the front seat not coverd with any thing will do. why do you think gun racks go in the window. |
