Find answers to your legal question.

If I get pulled over for speeding, what's the best way to get out of it w/o my parents finding out?

the problem is: i'm on their insurance.

so this is preferably w/o getting a ticket at all. but then if i do get a ticket, how can i get rid of it before they find out? if i motion to have the cop's radar gun checked and it's past its service, will my ticket be dropped immediately or will it not be done in time? i believe my mom pays our insurance every 6 months, does that sound right...?

and don't even say "DON'T SPEED" cause i still am.

Get a lawyer and pay to have it "taken care of".......it will be dropped to a non-moving violation...no points on your license and no insurance increase. Worth the money everytime!!

Pleed Guilty and ask for it to be stricken from your record if you complete community service

DON'T SPEED

your mom will find out you got a speeding ticket if you are still a minor and your insurance will go up too

?
Can't you just pay it without telling them? Does a speeding ticket go on your insurance? I haven't had this problem, but good question.

As far as I know, if you are under 18 you cannot appear in court without a guardian so asking to have the radar checked may not be an option. BTW...guardian will mean your parents, not an older friend, someone else's mom, etc.

The insurance increase will be apparent when the insurance agency runs records checks so there's no clear timeframe on when it could show up.

Something you might like to keep in mind in all of this...you can cost your parents their auto insurance if you pile up multiple citations or force them to drop your from their insurance entirely so they can maintain insurance for themselves. Not to mention that if you are under 18, if the violation is a high one, your license can be confiscated by the officer on scene.

Ticket fixing is costly, the average I have seen is anywhere from $250.00 to $500.00 PER TICKET and higher but again, if you are under 18...that really won't work. The judge can order you and your parents to appear to answer the charges. Just depends on your traffic laws. Some jurisdictions send notifications to parents to advise them of the ticket issued and the fine along with a court date.

There is no real way of not letting them know because they'll find out anyway. To stop them seeing the letter, get to the letterbox first everyday and see if it's there. If your old enough to drive you're old enough to pay.

just talk to the officer that wrote the ticket and see if he can get rid of it for you. explain the problem that you are haven and see what he says. it probably will not do you any good but good luck

The cop got out of his car and the kid who was stopped for speeding rolled down his window. "I've been waiting for you all day," the cop said. The kid replied, "Yeah, well I got here as fast as I could." When the cop finally stopped laughing, he sent the kid on his way without a ticket.

basically you get a ticket your parents will notice unless in some cases the ticket doesnt go through. that sometimes happens if you just pay the fine, it happened to my Dad last year in the Outer Banks. and dont ask to have the cops radar gun checked because they will tell you they check them everyday. but if you are pulled over speeding by only a few MPH which probably isnt the case you can always fight the ticket in court because radar guns are not 100% accurate and can be off by a few MPH

well if you're going to still speed you're GOING to get more tickets. There is no way - the ticket will eventually show up on insurance. Then there's a choice...you lose vehicle priviledges or they lose insurance because sooner or later you WILL hit someone.
You can do community service. You can pay the ticket. You can't appear in court without parents so they will know.

Sounds like the best advice is invest in a good pair of comfy shoes. You don't care about speeding and endangering others so don't deserve to have the priviledge to drive. It is a priviledge not a right.
