A convicted cereal rapist is moving into Regina for his parole. He is going to be on day parole and has to live in a half way house for six months only. What can I do to keep this creep out of my city?

You meant serial rapist. Anyhow, I would get out into your community and let everyone and their grandmother know about it. Legally there probably isn't much you can do but if you do make it widely known, he may be more apt to leave. |

Cereal? I think you mean serial. But really there is nothing you can do. He has been convicted, served his time, and given parole, and will be released. The court gives out sentences. The public cannot add to that sentence. |

Good luck keeping the man out of your city, the justice system seems to be leanient when it comes to rape. Put flyers up on every block in the area he will be living at. He will eventually move if he is constantly reminded that the community knows and is watching him. |

the reality of the situation is that you can't do anything legally to get this guy off the street. but WHAT you can do is make this public to the point of where the they come together and protest the situation. this is meant for two things. one to deter the parol board from letting this guy out, two scarring the guy from staying to long in the city. never try something like this alone. |

I partly agree with 'how it is.
If you make sure everyone knows that he's in the area and who he is, be vigilant and if he so much as breathes out of place report his a*s to the police it may well make him uncomfortable enough to leave your area.
On the downside, he might panic, violate his parole and move to a new area where he can slip through the net and carry on offending.
It's got to be the lesser of 2 evils. |
