If a cop pulls me over and finds a couple joints?

It's unlikely he could find a couple of joints unless you give him permission to search your vehicle. Under the 4th amendment of the US Constitution, you are protected from unreasonable search and seizure. A police officer who has stopped you cannot lawfully search your vehicle without probable cause.

If asked by the officer whether or not he can search you, or your vehicle, simply refuse. Refusal is not probable cause, and it is your right to refuse a search without any repercussions.

However, if for some reason you are caught, do not admit guilt. Say nothing, until you have an attorney present. Again, it is your right to remain silent, and you cannot be punished for this, even though the police may try to trick you, or intimidate you into giving up your rights.

The laws vary from state to state, so it really depends on where you live. However, if they find "illegal" drugs, they do legally have the right to confiscate your drugs, even if it's a small amount.

Depends on what country you live in. If its Canada, then no they cant do anything, I think. If its USA they can definately arrest you, and definately take the joints away.

In the UK it is still illegal to buy or sell weed.

If you are caught with the drug on your person, the officer can arrest you and if you are 17 or under then he should lock you up.

The officer has the powers to confiscate any class c drug found on your person and offer you a street caution.

Joints our illegal, they take you to jail. Thats in the USA of course. You broke the law. And yes they may fine you after you sit in jail and bail yourself out, and make you go to court. But they can take your joints....they are illegal and u r not suppose to have them anyways. Its like you riding around with a shot glass of cocain? Or one needle of herrorin? Or maybe a stolen road sign....they are not going to let you keep it.

i live in ga and they will take away your joints charge you with misdomener possession, take you directly to jail and automatically suspend your lisence for six months. they will do the same for 2 joints 10 joints or even once in my case "marijuana residue in the ashtray. oh yeah they will also seize your vehicle and arrest anyone else in the car with you

Of course the officer will seize your narcotics.... and not all states just have a 'fine' for possession.

If you're lucky, you won't go to jail and have your car towed and seized.

In my state you can be arrested for any amount of marijuana. However, you will usually just get a citation for a small amount like you described. Yes, they will take your pot and put it into evidence since it is illegal and you're not suppose to have it.

yea it depends where u are from... like if u live in colorado then ya there ur fine....u can have up to an ounce on u TRUE STORY !!!!!!!!! but that the only place i know of
