If more than one officer is on scene, they use a procedure referred to as "contact/cover". One is assigned as primary contact, and the other is responsible to cover. The contact officer is the one who would cuff the person, the cover person is simply there for back up, if needed. Gender has nothing to do with it. |

Yes... actually he can do it without a female present and he can search her all on his own if he believes that she has a weapon. If there is no danger of her getting to a weapon a female would be called for the search. |

Yes. Being a female is not protection against an arrest.
In my personal experience, females fight 50% more than men. They seem to have some psychology that a male police officer will not use force on them. It couldn't be less true. When I'm attacked by drunken females, I do fight, and do win. It's that simple. |
