In some states it is the same charge, in some states it says A Law Enforcement Controlled Animal.. that covers the dog of course.. anyway It should be the same charge, they are doing a job just like the Human Officer. |

The dog is a certified police dog in the line of duty and as such is punishable.(Felony)
Also a charge of animal cruelty can be attached as an additional charge.(Misd to felony) |
