Felonious operation in Michigan means you had INTENT to injure person or property with your vehicle and is a jailable offense. I had one of these in Michigan about 20 years ago, I rammed another car after I saw it speed off from my mothers house. Her house was broken into 2 weeks prior to this, and I thought it was the same people coming back for more, so I chased them and rammed them off the road.

I did get mine dropped to reckless driving, only because I knew the majestrate. It was still 6 points on my license, but he saved me from jail time.
