If i fail a urine drug test for a job i'm applying for because of marijuana, can it get me in trouble?

You just won't get the job. They don't call the cops. About 6 yrs ago my Brother in law had to take a drug test and he smokes, but he used a cleansing drink and passed.

In most states it is not actually illegal to smoke MJ, it is illegal to have it in your possession or to buy or sell it. So you can't be arrested for being high(unless you're driving) or for smoking in the past. You actually have to have the stuff in your possession

FYI : They sell drinks that will clear your system of the MJ so you can pass the test, just make sure if you get one that you follow the instructions exactly and drink loads of water for a couple days before the test. Most of the cleansing drinks you take a couple hours before the test.

A.Z.O. It's the best ! You can find it in your local pharmacy. Take it NOW, and the night before your interview. Go to bed w/ plenty of water, when you wake up, take 2 more, drink more water, urinate before you get there. the trick is to drink, drink, drink! it cleans out your bladder before you test. Drink a JUICE before the test (so you can go), and everything should be fine. If not, you smoked more than a bowl man. I used to take it a couple of days prior to testing for probation IT WORKED. Now, STAY OFF THE WEED, IT COST TO MUCH ( JOBS, FRIENDS, FREEDOM, ETC.!!!)

id think you would go to jail or go too the police dep. and be asked numerouse questions no matter if you already quit or not.
i wouldnt take the risk if i where you.
you never know, they might just say you failed, they might say you passed, you never know.

That is confidental information and you will only not get your job, as for the police , don't worry about it. By the way, marijuana stays in the system for up to 30-40 days, so remember that, when re-applying.

Companies that drug test don't have the personnel to be ratting out those who come up dirty. The reason they give tests is to screen out drug users from being hired.

They do not report you to the police. They just also do not give you the job. And, IF it's through a staffing company/Temp. Agency, they will no longer let you use their services for ANY job, not only the one you are applying currently for. However, there are ways around urine tests even if you smoke it the morning of the test. I am NOT telling you how though, unless you are serious that you have quit smoking, just decided to do so a little too late. Add details if you are interested and let me know that you are done smoking, and I will tell you how to pass. I smoked since I was 14 years old and I am 20 now. I quit 2 months ago because I got sick of having to always use it to pass a test. I just took a test 3 days ago and passed it clean as could be! I guess what they say really is true...its out after 30-45 days!! Best thing I ever done for myself, honestly.

No, you absolutely can't get in trouble from the police. You just won't get the job. They make powdered urine, that is clean and all you have to do is add water. It has a temperature strip on the side of the cup, and it comes with sticky hand warmers that you stick to the side of the cup. You just use that so you can pass, and get the job. You can buy it on the Internet, there are thousands of sites. Or you can just use someone else's that is clean, put it in a condom that doesn't have lubricant and poke it with a pin. But you can not get in trouble by the police, because all your info is confidential. If they told the police you could sue them. If you only took 2 puffs, and you hadn't smoked pot a month or two before that, then you should be clean. Two puffs, I would just guzzle some water down and exercise a lot. Then you should be fine.

no because you have to sign a confidentiality statement. clinics are confidential. besides, don't worry about it... most employers really don't care if you smoke pot -- it's the other drugs they really worry about -- like the ones that you will steal from them for in order to keep your habit

I doubt it. It is not against the law to test positive for marijuana use, only against the law to possess, produce, and sell marijuana. You probably will not get hired though.

You will not be reported to the police.You will not get the job either.There are products out there(one is called goldenseal) that you can take to help you pass.But you have to quit too.One of my friends kids thought he could take it and continue to smoke.It won't work that way.If you try goldenseal you may want to drink alot of cranberry juice the day of the test.That helps too.Hopefully this is a urine test not a hair follicle one.There is only one way to pass that,do not smoke pot.Good Luck and God Bless.

Don't smoke for at least 3 days and drink lots of water... and don't smoke again until you get the test results... just in case it was too diluted and they make you take another one.. by then you'll be clean.

Very few states have laws that allow positive drug tests to lead to charges of possession. and even in those states, the tests must be administered by the police labs/hospitals. So, no. However, you could really mess up your chances of getting a job later by failing now. Bow out gracefully, stay clean, and reapply.
