Not until they can assure me that every crook, thug, gang member and lawbreaker has turned theirs in first and have no chance of replacing it.

I won't accept a country where only thugs, police and military have the weapons.

While I don't currently own a gun, I have in the past. I reserve the right to go buy another if I want to or feel the need to have one.

Nope, I take a look at what happened to Great Britton and Australia when they did a complete gun Ban. Violent crimes jumped 300-400% Then I look at the state of Texax, that has the most lax gun laws around, they also have the lowest violent crime rate. Hmmn, cant figure out why that is. Could it possibly be the prison system there? Or is it the fact a majority of the residents can make you dead for being stupid?

I'll be damned if the government are going to take my guns. I have an obligation to protect my family from whatever crooks or criminals may try to interfere (wheter they are in the street or the government).

That is why we were given these rights many years ago.
