Call the police. Stay away from windows. Keep low. If you have a firearm, keep it at hand. Turn off the lights if you can without exposing yourself as a target. After this crisis passes, if you don't have a gun, perhaps you should obtain one and some training on how to safely use the weapon.

The best idea to think about BEFORE there are gunmen outside ones house is to have a proper dog or a few of them. Some gangsters and terrorists are not afraid of bullets, but are afraid of dogs' teeth.

first take a good count of how many there actually is u wouldn't wanna think u killed them all then get popped by an unaccounted for gunman. then i'd go "home alone" on them. set up some sweet traps. make friends with a homeless pigeon lady too she kicks butt with those birds.

If the gunmen have a warrent, surrender. If they aren't police, call the police. If you cannot call the police hide and/or prepare to run where there are a lot of people around.
