If you are having a hard time convincing the police, you next step should be a crisis counselor. You should be able to find a number in your local phone book, or try here:

These counselors receive specialized training, and may be able to get more information than the police. If there is reason for them to believe the rape is legitimate, they can accompany you to the police department and can assist you in giving a statement.

They also provide counseling to help you deal with the issue.

The cops don't have to believe you. You can still press charges. They don't have the power to say that a crime never happened.
And the cops still have to investigate the crime, even if they don' t believe it.

the first thing you should' ve done is go to the emergency ward and have a rape kit test show it. any lawyer will ask you if you have solid proof of the man you're wanting to charge. if you feel like this could keep you in pain, you should find a counsellor who is trained in this type of thing. make certain though the counsellor is specifically trained in treating victim of violent crimes, specifically rape.. the cops were derelict in their duty to protect and defend you. if you can prove you were raped you may be able to sue the police for that. most rapes go unreported, because of shame and because they see other woman who've tried to pursue it and fail. you have nothing to be ashamed of. he did this to you . you did not ask for it. the man who kidnapped my friend and i when we were 17, was a father of four girls. his wife had a nervous breakdown when she found out he did it and we were pressing charges. but he got a lousy $59.00 fine and a years probation. so we remained his victims. but only in theory.. you cannot let a horrible thing like this shut you down. you are far better than that. there is much about life that is good. this happened to my friend and i thirty nine years ago. i went on to college and earned three degrees. my friend who went through it with me became a heroin addict. it wouldn't hurt to talk to an attorney. in the old days many women who were raped were treated like the guilty party. it still happens, but today our society has gotten better at finding out the culprits are not the women they rape. it was horrible the police wouldn't take you seriously. i'm sorry this happened to you, or to the person for whom you asked this question. we need even stricter laws to protect women from rapists and make them pay for raping. and to make law enforcement take people seriously help victims. rape is a violent crime.

Being raped by the cops would make you the victim. The cops would be the ones to ask for an attorney. Provided they are guilty which I doubt.
