If you ask your probation officer to go out of town what information do they use to determine this?

my husband just got on probation today and we already booked a 2day trip to florida, im told that we can ask his probation officer if he can go and she may let him. what information do they use to determine whether or not you can go out of town?

Basically they judge it on how much of a risk he is determined to be at the time. Then they have to confirm your plans with the airlines and or hotels, and may set a curfew on him for the hotel (or wherever else you're staying. When I went awa I also had to report in to the local police station immediately upon my arrival and give them a copy of a letter from the P.O. then phone the P.O. with the name of the officer I spoke too. All in all, it was a huge hassle, but neccesary.
