Is compensation warranted? I can't even pick up a bottle of ketchup now. Stomach very nervous.

I called Heinz this a.m. and they want me to mail it them for lab tests. I think I will take pics as they are still alive after 5 days. One bottle was new and one 2 wks old. 46 oz and 36 oz.

I wouldn't go for compensation but , I wouldn't go for another bottle of Ketchup either. Our country is "Sue" crazy now and it makes it hard for any truly legitimate cases. Our court systems stay backed up because "someone got mad".If you really did find 2 tiny worms, Write the company, tell them the # on the bottle and rest assured that it will be checked out. It was not done on purpose. No, I don't work for any of these companys . |

Were the bottles sealed and unopened?? If so you should contact the Heinz Corporation. there is a number to call on the bottles label. |

Contact the manager of the store first, then Heinz. Take photos, or video for future reference. I'm sure Heinz will give you specific instructions. |

I would take a sample of the ketchup with the worms, put it on a microscope slide and send it to the manufacturer with a letter saying something like:
"I really enjoy your products. I see you have changed the formula of the ketchup. Can you please tell me where I find this [see enclosed slide] on the ingredient label? I'd like to show it to my cousin who is an attorney." |

I would contact the company and inform them of what you want. You could try a suit but I doubt it would get you anything in return except lawyer's fees. |
