If you're likening your example to the UK mob incident, it's hardly similar.

In your example, I'm sure you'd be questioned, possibly detained, at the very least. It also depends on the situation, which you clearly left out.

Tempers flare and angry words fly when law enforcement officers go awry - and rightfully so. It irks me to no end when it happens, but I certanly don't go off the deep end and post questions like this one. Regardless of they do, we, as good citizens, still have to maintain our common sense, good reasoning, and sanity.

Otherwise, we'll be the next ones being criticized.

The matter would be investigated, just like the incident at the G20 protest, and if the determination is that the push contributed to the heart attack then the person could be charged. In the US the District Attorney would decide if charges are made since it will be up to the DA to decide if they could successfully prosecute the case. I would imagine the equivalent in the UK would make the same determination for the same reason.

Either way this incident is being looked into. Until then the only thing that people can do is speculate and make assumptions. None of which matter in the long run. This is a tragic incident and it is absurd that people use it to further their own hateful views.

That would be supposing that they were policemen, and not just an army of uniformed labour party thugs, and lets face it....that about sums up Britain's police force under new labour.

If they had a heart attack tens of minutes & hundreds of yards later, as was the case, you would be arrested. However forming a robust link between the heart attack and the assault would be exceedingly difficult, if it turned out to be impossible you would walk away with common assault charges.
